OSCE publishes practical guide on anti-Roma hate crimes and the security needs of Roma and Sinti communities

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe recently published a practical guide for understanding anti-Roma hate crimes and addressing the security needs of Roma and Sinti communities. The guide provides an overview of issues faced by Roma and Sinti communities, reviews relevant cases from a number of OSCE member states, and discusses measures for promoting safety and security while ensuring the principle of non-discrimination. It also includes an analysis of related security needs and recommendations to improve access of Roma and Sinti communities to their human rights.
More information and the complete practical guide can be found on the website of the OSCE.
