Vietnam’s ethnic minority groups to be highlighted during month-long cultural events

Throughout April, the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Culture Day will introduce the diverse and rich cultures, customs and practices of the ethnic minority groups of Vietnam. The events will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay Town in Hanoi.

This cultural space will present the different cultures of ethnic minority groups in Vietnam, this will include mountain markets which offer typical dishes from each locality, as well as artistic performances and folk games. In addition to festivals and celebrations that present the ethnic minority groups around the country, an art show entitled “Central Highlands love songs” will be shown as part of the program, and will include folk songs, dances, and music from the Ta Oi, Xo Dang, Co Tu, Raglai, and E De minority groups.
